I feel like I hit the lottery! I always said if I hit the lottery I would hire a personal vegan chef. Chef Perkunas is a gourmet raw vegan chef that has mastered the fine art of balance and mouth watering taste.
I have had the delivery service for a little over a month and each dish has never disappointed me. What I found is that one serving is really equal to two servings. Who knew raw food could be filling?!

I think the most amazing thing is the ripeness of the produce and fruit...so wonderfully fresh. The use of spices, dressings, and sauces are portioned to accompany the dish perfectly.

Every Tuesday I look forward for another taste adventure. Try it once; I have a feeling you’ll be hooked for life as I am!

Raw Food at it’s best!
I had the pleasure of experiencing the kindness and talent of chef Perkunas this week. Not only did he accommodate my special dietary restrictions, but much to my surprise, he accepted and fulfilled my last minute order. The chef corresponded with me in a very timely manner regarding substitution suggestions for the items
What a fantastic combination of flavors & colors. In person, things look just like they do in the photos and taste as great as they appear.

I had the pleasure to go directly to the Perkunas’ kitchen for a sampling menu. And like one of the other reviewers, I have sampled food from some of the best raw chefs in the world (Matthew Kenney, Juliano, Chef Ito), and I have to say, Perkunas deserves to be ranked among the absolute best. One of the main ingredients for most raw gourmet food is nuts, and some use quite a bit of salt to get the flavor to pop.

But Perkunas has mastered the use mostly fruits and veggies, along with herbs and spices, to make his dishes exceptionally flavor-full! The portion sizes are unusually large for raw gourmet, and yet, my stomach felt completely fine for hours after ingesting what for me was quite a bit of food in one sitting! Perkunas also uses the freshest ingredients possible, sourcing from small, local, organic growers.

Something else to take into consideration when deciding whose food you want to put in your body is the energy that the preparer exudes. Perkunas is pure love - love for his craft, his creations, and his customers. I simply cannot wait to try more and more of his masterful cuisine. Five stars all the way :)

I have ordered this home delivery for three weeks now and it has made me feel so much better. It is not only extremely fresh and organic, it tastes amazing. I have had experience with some of the best raw food from New York to LA to SF and I must say Chef Perkunas does an impeccable job here for San Diego. I was impressed by the presentation on their web site, their reviews and the ease ordering. The food was gorgeous, the flavors and taste was amazing and there was always sample sauce and dressings for every meal that I often found myself using them to add to other meals I was making for my kids. Every single item had the most amazing seasoning or sauce! The veggies were all crisp and cut to perfection. I also opted to cook some the raw items as I wanted to. It’s like you can decide “Do I want to eat this raw, or do I want to cook it?” - it’s that easy. This week, we are trying REVIVE. There is simply nothing better than having amazing varieties of raw vegan food to eat all week long. You can tell with Veggie Vibes, someone is passionate and very savvy in the kitchen!

I hardly ever write reviews but after finishing my 3 day reset cleanse I have to tell everyone how RAWESOME Veggie Vibes is! This was my first time going raw and I thought it was going to be a struggle for those 3 days. It turned out to be the opposite...I looked forward to every entree and smoothie. Even my junk-food-junkie boyfriend kept asking for more bites from my meals! The food was so tasty that I was thinking “no way is this healthy, it’s just too good, I’ll probably gain weight after 3 days” but I dropped 3.5 lbs and feel great. Not only is Chef Perkunas a master at a raw food but he is a super cool guy, too!

This is the first place I wish I could give six stars. I started getting shipments from Veggie Vibes about 4 years ago, but only once or twice a year since I was all the way out in Virginia (high shipping costs). The food was always great, but it’s nothing like getting the fresh delivery locally now that I live in SoCal. I have been here for a few weeks, and after the first week, decided to go with the weekly subscription. The portions are generous, everything is super fresh and healthy, and the flavor combinations are unique. My tastebuds never get bored. I can also look at the menu each week and choose things to add or opt out of, replace something with a dessert or two (oh yeah) and I also like that most of their entrees are low-nut. They still manage to make them filling though. The juices and smoothies are also delicious- exotic flavors and creativity are in every dish. I can tell there is a lot of love put into their food. It is healing, satisfying and even mind-blowing on occasion. Thank you Chef Perkunas!
